Iconic and the absolute epitome of Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel, this dress was worn by Veronica Webb in the Chanel Autumn 1986 Paris runway show. Webb was peeling and eating a banana as she wore this dress down the runway. The stunning dress is strapless black silk taffeta with a fitted bodice and an a line tea length skirt. The bodice is trimmed in white silk with four gold tone metal interlocking cc logo buttons down the centre front and horizontal ruching throughout. The ball skirt features pleating at the waist and hips, that cascades into a perfect a line shape. Small black hooks and buttons up the centre back. Full interior corset so the dress sits perfectly when wearing. Very good vintage condition. Made in France. Fits like a US size 2. Fabulous, timeless, classic and a piece of Chanel history.
