Chanel Haute Couture tweed and silk and lurex dress and jacket ensemble from the 1960s. The ensemble combines blue, black and cream tweed with a pink, blue and metallic silk and lurex lining. The jacket features a Mandarin collar, large gold tone metal interlocking cc buttons, and four slit flap pockets. The trim on the pockets and cuffs match the fabulous metallic silk lining with gold metal weighted chain at interior hem. The matching sleeveless dress features a silk and lurex bodice and tweed skirt with a front faux muff pocket and two gold tone buttons. A great fall/winter ensemble. The metallic brocade and slightly heavier wool is great for the holiday season. Haute Couture label with bolduc (style number) on back. Very good vintage condition – no signs of wear to tweed. Some very small signs of wear to bodice of dress, specifically around the arm hole. Handmade in France. Owning a significant piece of fashion history that is wearable is a special opportunity and a great investment.
